Chrissy & Dan's
6.20.2015
Traverse City, MI
WEDDING

Kevin Wolak
Despite being over a year apart, the Wolak Brothers shared rooms, clothes, and teams the entire time they grew up and were so close that even now some extended family struggle with the difference between Danny and Kevin. After Dan went to swim at Case, Kevin chose water polo and recently became the Head Coach at his old school. Now Dan has a team to come home to cheer for and can talk shop with Coach. Chrissy and Dan are both excited to have Kev with us and hope one day he'll make it up to Madison to visit.

Kevin Alland- Best Man
Although Kevin likes to (falsely) claim he was there when Chrissy and Dan started dating, he truely is one of the best friends either has had. Kevin was Dan's first Little Brother in Zeta Psi but they always shared a passion for swimming, water polo, Hawks, and Bears. Kevin has always been there for Dan whether it was driving 6 hours for water polo or taking Dan to the hospital for a broken nose; now he'll be there for Dan on the biggest day of his life.

Peter Fino
Dan and Peter met on the swim team (Team Breaststroke & Team Frank!) and were both in Zeta Psi where Peter became Dan's 2nd Little Brother. Through their time at Case they enjoyed short swim sets, bus ride shenanigans (including belting Disney tunes from the back of the bus), and a mutual "respect" of sports teams (another Detroit fan...). Dan still pesters Peter about his thoughts on sports and both talk about the joys of grad school but this summer we get to celebrate! (Maybe even a Hawks-Wings Stanley Cup to keep things tense...)

Kyle Helson
Kyle and Dan met on the swim team (Go Team Breaststroke!) but also got to "enjoy" Honors Physics together freshmen year. Outside of the pool they both enjoy NFL and NHL despite rooting for opposing teams ("Hey, If I can marry a Wings fan, I can befriend a Wings fan..."). Together, they made the menswim listserv a place of procrastination and pleasant spam. They still keep in regular contact whether its to talk about the perils of grad school or some juicey pro sports gossip.
The Wedding Party
The Groomsmen

Nikki Butts (Maid of Honor)
Who knows if Chrissy would have ever met Dan if it weren't for older sister -- she's the one that got Chrissy hooked on swimming. An amazing sister, Mom, and wife, Nikki has supported our relationship the whole way through (including lots of fun weekends in MN).

Ellen Crummy
An awesome friend from CWRU who has also made her way to Madison! A fellow swimmer, transitioned triathlete, Ellen and Chrissy have spent countless hours talking training, science, food, the best brunch spots in Madison, etc. Chrissy is so happy to have Ellen around and can't wait for her to make the trek to MI for the wedding!

Kelsey Zeller
Same swim lane buddies turned into such close friends that Chrissy and Kelsey spoke to each other in a language that no one could understand (some people might consider it squealing). Even though they live on opposite sides of the earth, Chrissy and Kelsey can always pick right back up. We can't wait for Kelsey to be back to celebrate with us!
The Bridesmaids

Bryan Saltzman
Dan and Bryan were part of Team Frank Zatko together on the Case swim team which involved sprinting and laughing at distance swimmers. When not in the pool they were both in Zeta Psi and lived together sophomore year. One fond memory is Dan napping next to Bryan throughout OChem (Bryan's only B while Sleepy got an A). Now Bryan is a Resident at Rush Hospital in Chicago and Dan has to lie/cheat/steal to get time to see his old friend.

Rachel Gostomelsky
A great friend right from the start, Rachel was one of the few (there were 3 total) incoming freshman girls to help Chrissy survive the swim team. Living, swimming, baking (Rachel obviously much better), and napping on futons together, Chrissy and Rachel were side by side through all of the time at CWRU. Now Chrissy & Dan get to eat all of her yummy treats that she bakes on their visits to Chicago!

Emma Nelson
Chrissy & Emma just automatically clicked at CWRU. They started swimming against each other without even knowing it back in Maryland, and then bonded over IM sets in Ohio. They have the most ridiculous time together (laughing to the point of tears) and now can talk on the phone for hours on just about anything.
